This ongoing process has resulted in the development of an Indigenous Strategy, ii' taa'poh'to'p - Together in a Good Way, intended to guide the university's relationship with the Indigenous peoples in whose territory the university resides.
The University of Calgary is situated on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Stoney Nakoda First nations, including Chiniki, Bearspaw and Wesley First Nation.
