Position: Home Delivery - Operations Associate (Pre-Delivery)

Status: Seasonal Full Time

Shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm; Monday To Friday

Location: Home Delivery; Brampton, ON

The Role

As part of the Home Delivery team, the Home Delivery Operations associate (Pre-Delivery) will support the major appliance and television purchase customer experience by ensuring and monitoring the smooth flow of White Goods customer orders within pre-established standards for all aspects of the logistics functions. As a Home Delivery Operations associate, your advanced communication and computer skills will enable you to effectively process home delivery orders, provide customer service to our stores and assist in resolving pre- and post-inventory related delivery issues.

The successful candidate will have advanced communication and customer service skills to be able to effectively and clearly communicate information to the Distribution Centers, stores, Home Delivery Carriers and intermittently customers, as well as to be able to provide answers and/or solutions to any inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

Administration and Documentation- Work directly with the stores and home delivery carriers nationally to resolve pending orders and outstanding customer return transfers. Communication through updated notes in OIS and RMS that are clear and concise, updated appropriately. Keeping well-informed of any changes in SOP’s that may impact the customer experience.

Inventory Control- Home Delivery cage list management, including investigating and reconciling any variances. Ensure product is returned to the store and/or DC within target range, by managing the flow of product between customer, home delivery carrier and store.

Direct involvement in assisting stores to resolve pending orders and outstanding customer return transfers. Responsible for managing the return to DC prototype store and web failed delivery process.

Responsible for Home Delivery carrier cage list management and weekly review calls.

Support Operations on as need basis.

Customer Service - Provide world class customer service by supporting the stores to resolve pending orders, and ensuring product is returned to stores within pre-established timelines so as not to delay customer return transfers. Utilize documented call flow SOP’s to resolve and/or escalate reported delivery issues.

Works diligently with sensitive customer information and vigorously upholds Privacy/Security standards. 

Continuous Improvement- The Home Delivery Operations Associate is a valuable member of the team who brings forward issues and shares ideas for process improvement, thereby improving the customer experience.

Required Experience:

  • Min 2 years Administration Experience -working in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy & speed in alpha/numeric data entry.
  • Min 1 year Customer service e experience– demonstrates a genuine desire to help or serve internal or external customers
  • Min 1 year Intermediate to Advanced Experience with MS Excel/Word and other Windows applications
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills. The ability to work under pressure and multi task
  • Home Delivery/Logistics/Transportation knowledge preferred


  • Diploma in Office Administration or related training and experience will also be considered
