Golder is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager - Licensed Site Professional to join our growing Westborough, Massachusetts office. The successful candidate will have a proven track record identifying new business opportunities and experience completing contaminated site investigations and remediation.

Responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Collaborate with Golder colleagues in market outreach, business development, and proposal activities to support growth of new clients/service areas in Massachusetts, southern New England, and nationally
  • Understand various regulatory environments and associated technical requirements in various state and federal regulatory regimes
  • Manage project teams on projects of various sizes through all phases of project planning - from initial proposal preparation and costing, to project execution, through project closeout to meet the scope, schedule, budget and other contract specifications
  • Assist as prime or secondary contact with clients and be responsible for overall work progress, technical performance, and overall client satisfaction
  • Mentor Golder's project managers and staff to deliver service and products that exceed client expectations
  • Participate in and contribute to operational exercises including staffing meetings, workload planning, annual planning and budgeting, and financial management
  • Identify, coach and mentor staff to help them achieve their potential and identify candidates for growth of the Massachusetts location
  • Promote Golder's profile through active participation in select professional organizations, conferences, and speaking engagements
  • Travel as required for project needs and business development purposes
  • Be a strong advocate for Golder's health and safety culture

Requirements:
  • BS (minimum) in geology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related fields; MS preferred
  • 10 or more years of environmental project experience, including business development, project management, proposal writing, client contact, and regulatory interaction

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel. Specialized computer skills including database applications, and/or groundwater and contaminant modeling software
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Massachusetts and New England regulatory experience
  • Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional and/or Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional license
  • Due diligence, environmental health and safety auditing/compliance experience
  • Leadership experience, including experience leading and developing a growing team of staff
  • A positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and within groups
  • Team management skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience with emerging contaminants
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with recent refresher
