Golder has a new opportunity for a Geological Engineer to join our Central Operations team in a Full-Time position at our St. Louis, Missouri office.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in subsurface investigations including drilling, geologic/geotechnical logging and environmental media sampling.
  • Perform Phase 1 and Phase 2 contaminated site investigations.
  • Prepare geologic and geotechnical boring logs, geologic cross-sections, groundwater contour maps, and isoconcentration maps.
  • Perform engineering calculations, cost estimates, data validation, and report preparation.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in geological engineering or an equivalent field of study.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or the ability to complete the exam within 6 months of start date.
  • Ability to succeed both independently and on teams.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (at least up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to plan and execute field programs with knowledge of proper sampling techniques.
  • Ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally, with possible frequent shorter term travel and some longer term travel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in geological engineering or an equivalent field of study.
  • At least two years of experience in a consulting practice.
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, GIS, gINT desirable.
  • Completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training, with 8-hour refresher updates as applicable.
