Your Organization

Altec Roanoke is a focus factory that specializes in the manufacture and final assembly of aerial devices, digger derricks and cranes. 


  • Must have industrial electricity which includes 480 volt 3 phase circuits
  • Must have basic electrical knowledge and know how to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Must be willing to work extended hours if production equipment is down - on call availability will be needed
  • Welding, cutting , brazing and soldering skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate CNC equipment or be willing to attend training for CNC equipment
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret diagrams and operations manuals
  • Mechanical background to include troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work with others and make independent decisions that may affect plant operations
  • Ability to operate cutting and forming machines
  • While performing maintenance, must be willing to clean equipment and associated work areas to enhance housekeeping to the next level
  • Controls/Systems Maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus


    Basic Qualifications

    * Minimum of 2 years work experience in an industrial maintenance role within a manufacturing setting.
    * High school diploma or GED.
    * Basic reading, writing and math skills.
    * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
    * Must have the physical capability to lift 75 lbs. from floor to waist, carry 75 lbs. for approximately 20 feet, walk/sit/stand for 2 hours consistently, and climb truck ladders repeatedly for an 8-10 hour shift.
