Position : Ophthalmic Assistant
Department : Ambulatory Care Program - Eye Clinic
Status : Permanent Part-time (must provide availability of up to 0.3 FTE)
Hours : Monday to Friday, various rotating 8 hour shifts (subject to change based on operational requirements)
Site : Oakville

This is what you'll be doing :
To provide care to patients and their families who visit the eye clinic. Specifically, to perform Humphrey Visual Field Testing, Pachymetry, Lensometry and Goldmann Visual Fields.

- Certified J.C.A.H.P.O
- Certification from recognized institution
- Experience with OCT required
- Excellent knowledge of Humphrey Visual Field Testing, including software
- Knowledge in the use of manual Lensometer
- Excellent skills to function independently and with the interdisciplinary team
- Strong knowledge and skills of providing care to a full range of patients, specifically to elder care
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Satisfactory attendance and employment record
