Waste Connections of Canada is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic for our shop at our processing facility in Vaughan, ON. Position Summary: Safety is key in our business and the mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining both personal and vehicle safety. The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining Waste Connections of Canada (WCC) vehicles and equipment in safe working order. The Mechanic will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that all vehicles meet all government regulations and standards for safety as well as WCC safety standards.
Pay rate and benefits :
•$34.22/hr. including shift premium
•Can make $80-90 K with overtime
•Safety and Performance bonuses all year round!
•Safe and clean working environment
•Good pay/ bonuses / full benefits / retirement fund
•310T LICENCE (MANDATORY)
•2-3 years of verifiable Diesel Truck/Heavy Equipment experience
•Solid knowledge of Air Brakes and Hydraulics repair
•A and B Services experience
•Computer diagnostic experience would be an asset.
