Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, this newly created foundational leadership role will provide strategic direction and thought leadership necessary to ensure sound decision-making and oversight of Ontario Health’s Clinical Institutes and Quality Programs, as well as to define and champion Ontario Health’s vision, mission and values. Working in a dyad relationship with Ontario Health’s Chief Medical Officer, this is an exciting opportunity to shape, develop and deliver multiple high-impact provincial health system strategies, programs, standards and initiatives to advance evidence-based clinical excellence, support integration and equity, and enable improved patient/resident/client and provider experiences and health outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader in the health care sector, with a graduate degree in a clinical, healthcare or social service discipline or related clinical specialty area and at least 10 years’ relevant senior clinical leadership experience in health care and academic settings or similarly complex service delivery environments. You have a strong focus on improving patient/resident/client, front-line and provider experiences and health outcomes, as well as overall population health outcomes. You are familiar with multiple clinical programs in acute, community and primary care settings and bring a strong understanding of partnerships and stakeholder engagement. You have demonstrated success in leading significant transformation initiatives and a clear commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism.
