Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, this newly created foundational leadership role will provide strategic direction and thought leadership necessary to ensure sound decision-making and oversight of Ontario Health’s Health System Performance and Support Portfolio, as well as to define and champion Ontario Health’s vision, mission and values. This is an exciting opportunity to shape, develop and deliver significant, high-impact provincial health system strategies, standards and initiatives aimed at providing information, evidence and support to assess, inform and improve health system performance and effectiveness. This leader works to administer accountability agreements with provincial health partners and service providers and leads Ontario’s Health supply chain and health force capacity efforts, and as well as on an interim basis the Provincial Diagnostic Network Program and Ontario Health’s COVID Response.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader in the health care sector, with a graduate degree in Public Administration, Health Administration or a related specialty area and at least 10 years’ relevant leadership experience within the health care sector or similarly complex service delivery environment. You have a strong focus on assessing and improving patient/resident/client and provider experiences and outcomes, as well as overall health systems performance and population health outcomes. You possess superior administrative expertise, relationship management skills and experience in improving complex processes such as supply chain development and delivery integral to the delivery of health services. You have demonstrated success in leading significant transformation initiatives and a clear commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism.
