Job Summary:

As a Supervisor, Building Services, you will be responsible for Security, Building Maintenance of our Office, Warehouse and Lab Facility. The incumbent will also be responsible for the contractors, service providers and vendors for the facility, processing receipt and/or shipment of test samples and packages, provide material handling support for lab personnel, and be responsible for local purchasing support.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing minor maintenance repairs and contacting external licensed trades for others

  • Shipping & Receiving of Customer Test Samples, and Office and Lab Test Equipment

  • 24/7 first-line on call response for security

  • Will be responsible for maintaining site Health and Safety procedures

  • Purchasing of office supplies, lab consumables, and other miscellaneous items

  • Coordination of Minor Exterior Landscaping Duties (e.g. snow removal)


Education:


Minimum Grade 12 Diploma

Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Facilities Maintenance

  • Health & Safety related experience preferable


Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well with others

  • Good communication skills

  • Understanding of Facilities Management including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Building Codes

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Sample Control Procedures

  • General Carpentry & Maintenance Skills

  • Use of Power & Hand Tools

  • Licensed Forklift Operator

  • Experience with MS Office and ERP Systems

  • Knowledge of Shipping & Receiving Procedures (Domestic & International)

  • Valid Driver’s License
