Destination Canada’s Global Marketing team develops and provides strategic direction, support and resources to in-market teams across the globe for paid media, programs, campaigns and projects. Aside from marketing plans and frameworks, this department is also responsible for content creation and marketing strategy as well as Destination Canada’s social media presence.

Destination Canada is looking for two dynamic and driven Marketing professionals to join our team, one to lead the leisure market for Europe and India, and the other for the Asia Pacific region. You have a strong marketing background and are able to develop and lead consumer marketing plans and translate them to results.

Our ideal candidate is collaborative, solutions-focused and has strong and effective project management skills. The incumbent will leverage excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully build alliances with partners.   • University degree in Marketing or another field directly related to the position, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience

  • Some formal training in electronic media, social media or project management is an asset

EXPERIENCE:  When applying, the candidate must clearly demonstrate in writing how they meet the following experience criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing communications (marketing, advertising, media relations or social media)

  • Experience in managing projects and project budgets which involve multiple /stakeholders and contributors

  • Experience in developing and implementing campaigns with the support of agencies

  • Demonstrated experience working with agencies to provide direction, guidance and expectations

  • Experience in utilizing digital analysis and research to implement strategic plans and guide projects

  • Experience in Canadian tourism industry is an asset

  • Experience in the assigned international markets is an asset
