The Experience Design team is looking for a Content Strategist to join our eCommerce Retail team. At Best Buy, Content Strategists work in eCommerce categories alongside digital designers, copywriters, UX designers, merchandisers and SEO specialists to research and deliver the best web hierarchy & product data attributes to help customers find what they are looking for with particular focus on continuously improving the online experience.
Experience Design at Best Buy Canada drives the vision of the entire customer journey. We are a large and growing team of diverse specialists in UX, UI, Digital Design, Content Strategy, and Copywriting. The Experience Design department operates under the Director of Experience Design and enjoys strong executive support. Best Buy Canada's eCommerce & Technology group is truly Agile at scale, with a flat organizational structure and strategists working within distinct streams, united within communities of practice.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As a part of a category stream, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team to achieve business goals and objectives. You will achieve this by:
- • Creating and maintaining web and product hierarchies in accordance to established standards and guidelines • Conducting category-specific user research (card sorting, tree-jack testing etc) to thoroughly understand your business category • Present user research findings to cross-functional team members to improve findability of your category • Applying IA guidelines to ensure uniformity across all elements that contribute to the findability and accessibility of online products (product hierarchies, facets, product titles, product copy, product images, product attributes) • Performing content audits to ensure consistency and accuracy across the site, as well as communicate any changes to guidelines to impacted business partners • Identifying opportunities to educate customers through blog content and developing content briefs to see this content come to life • Analyzing customer feedback to identify opportunities to improve the overall customer experience.
WHAT YOU'VE DONE...
- • 1+ years experience in Information Architecture or Taxonomy • Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Library Sciences, HCI, or similar. • Experience using a PIM/CMS to manage and update content. • Strong attention to detail. Nothing gets past you! • You crave a fast-paced environment where change is constant. • Familiarity with working in an Agile or Scrum environment • Highly collaborative mindset that allows you to build trust and accountability • Natural curiosity to explore fresh ideas, to capture assumptions into clear hypotheses, and to validate those hypotheses through various evaluation methods • Ability to embrace change with positivity and enthusiasm
