Construction Project Coordinator / Junior Estimator

Golder Associates Ltd. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our Construction team in Vancouver.

A key function of the role will include involvement with delivering technically challenging ground engineering, mining, water resource, marine, and environmental remediation projects and will be site based on one of Golder Construction's exciting project sites. This position will require travel to project sites throughout North America.

An overview of your role will include:

  • Providing project specific site support, including interpretation of engineering drawings, scheduling and assisting with project controls;
  • Supporting Site Manager and Supervisors with site office filing and organization;
  • Organizing and tracking supplier weigh bills and delivery slips;
  • Collecting, inputting, presenting project cost tracking data;
  • Implementing QA/QC procedures , including collection and testing of samples;
  • Health and Safety management on site including organizing and leading morning tailgate discussions, managing sign in and out procedures, presenting site orientation packages to subcontractors and suppliers;

You will have a background in:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject;
  • Previous Construction work experience considered an asset;
  • Highly motivated with an ability to work under minimal supervision;
  • Ability to learn processes quickly and prioritize Project Manager/Client requirements;
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and possess good communication skills and a friendly, pleasant manner;
  • Flexible available for site work on rotational basis, can-do attitude;
  • Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Drivers Licence.
