The Richmond Division of Family Practice (the Division) provides and supports primary care programs and services across the traditional and linked lands of the Musqueam, Stz’uminus, Kwantlen, Stó:lō, Tsawwassen and Coast Salish First Peoples.

The Division gives Richmond family physicians a collective voice to influence health care delivery and policy with the aim of improving patient access to local primary care, and to work on member-driven projects that enhance both patient care and physician support.


Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the implementation of strategic priorities and internal operations of their member-driven organization committed to progressive health care delivery and local primary care. The Executive Director has direct oversight of staff leadership, financial sustainability, administration, and the delivery of programming, and services. The Executive Director builds and maintains strong relationships with Board, staff, health care providers, government agencies and the broader community with a commitment to ensuring a high level and quality of care.

Community program oversight includes, but is not limited to: Primary Care Networks, Neighborhood Networks, Long-Term Care Initiative, and the Richmond Attachment Program. In addition, the Division supports its local physicians and MOAs with services including: Practice Support, Networking and Learning Events and Opportunities, and the advancement of new health Innovation and Technology.

This is a challenging and dynamic opportunity for a non-profit leader who is committed to the advancement and support of primary healthcare. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic and organizational abilities with excellent interpersonal, financial, communications, and member-service and skills. The preferred candidate will have a master’s degree in a relevant program area or field, complimented by five (5) or more years of leadership and management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector, including human resource, operations, financial, and change management. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.

The Executive Director position is an in-person role with some flexibility to be virtual, which may require attendance at early morning, evening, and occasional weekend meetings. Travel may be required across the region as well as to provincial meetings. A valid driver’s license and access to a car is required.

The salary range for this role is: $130,000- $140,000
