POSITION OVERVIEW

 

Reporting to the Executive Director of Applied AI Programs, the FastLane Program Coordinator will play a key role in the development of a program that accelerates adoption of AI in Canadian small-to-medium-sized enterprises.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide operational support in the daily tasks, planning, implementation, and marketing of the

   Fastlane program;

  • Assist in scheduling meetings between Fastlane team staff and prospective SME clients;
  • Communicate regularly with Fastlane team members on progress updates and resource requirements;
  • Communicate to Vector staff on program progress and coordinate with other staff members for client

   referrals to other functions;

  • Host and facilitate team meetings weekly, complete with program-related topics for discussion and

   updates on progress;

  • Assist in analyses, tracking, and discussions surrounding program offering changes;
  • Assist in the collection, analysis, meeting, and decision-making processes needed to vet for

   prospective SMEs;

  • Outreach to SMEs and AI ecosystem networks to onboard prospective clients.
  • Act as the first point of contact for client or internal requests;
  • Track program objectives, timelines, and metrics through well-organized documentation; and,
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

KEY SUCCESS MEASURES

 

  • The Industry Innovation team reaches its metrics and targets (i.e., renewal and sponsorship growth) as

   approved by Vector’s President & CEO and Board of Directors;

  • Internal and external stakeholder feedback is such that Vector's Industry Innovation team provides

   high quality service, support, and impactful data/resources as required;

  • Sponsor and SME feedback is such that Vector's programs and offerings are valuable and help to

   improve and inform various internal processes;

  • Program progress tracking is accurate and captures meaningful metrics from individual events.

 

PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

 

  • Currently close to completing, or recently completed bachelor's degree in business administration,

   commerce, economics, or similar discipline;

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in non-profit or corporate working environments;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Google Suite;
  • Proficiency and experience in project management, resource planning, scheduling, and cross-team

   collaboration;

  • Experience working with companies in the AI, Big Data, or IT space is considered an asset;
  • Ability to format and create visually compelling and professional strategy and planning documents;
  • Ability to adapt planning documents based on SME demand and internal events scheduling;
  • Deep interest and understanding of Canada’s innovation and knowledge economy.
