Job Summary

The Office of Professional Development and Educational Scholarship at Queen’s University has an opportunity for an education professional with lived experience within an Indigenous community to join our team as the Educational Developer (Indigenous Curriculum and Ways of Knowing). The Educational Developer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and services that support the professional teaching development of faculty members and educational support professionals in their efforts to decolonize curriculum and integrate Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing into courses and programs. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and facilitation skills that enable you to relate and connect with a diverse group of people and develop effective networks across the university campus.

This will be an exciting opportunity for someone interested in influencing institutional and structural change within one of Canada’s top educational institutions. The position will be embedded within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s and will, therefore, have an immediate impact on the education of health care providers, which may lead to long-term health care improvements for communities across the country. Additionally, as a member of a collaborative education team, the successful candidate will be supported by other educational professionals working to change education and healthcare.

If you are looking for a career that allows you to bring your ‘whole self’ to the work you do and you have lived experience within an Indigenous community, we welcome your application.
