POSITION OVERVIEW

Account Managers use their talent and creativity to make a real impact on the success of Canadian and Indigenous entrepreneurs. They leverage their relational strengths and network of contacts by identifying opportunities to accelerate the growth of entrepreneurs, and by developing business opportunities, both in financing and consulting. CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Build relationships with local entrepreneurs, clients and prospects, and discuss the specifics of their business in order to identify issues, provide advice and make recommendations appropriate to their business needs;

  • Have a concrete business development plan with proposed solutions. This allows you to ensure the growth and retention of existing clients in your portfolio, while acquiring new clients and creating a pool of business opportunities;

  • Analyze, negotiate, and present high quality loan proposals while applying sound credit judgment; and

  • Develop a portfolio of clients and prospects in various sectors to support them in their growth plan by leveraging BDC solutions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Do you have post-secondary education or experience in a related field? (E.g., Economic Development, Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship)

  • Do you have a passion for working with entrepreneurs, including those with unique heritage and diversity?

  • Are you passionate about entrepreneurship and do you have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role?

  • Are you known for seeking new prospects, and do you have strong listening skills, and great intuition?

  • Can you identify issues and the business needs of entrepreneurs?

  • Do you have strong business relations and do entrepreneurs remember you because of your sound advice, your high level of motivation, and your outstanding customer service?

  • Are you a team player who builds effective and lasting relationships with your peers, business contacts and external partners?

  • Are you active in your community by participating in associations, such as being a member of a Chamber of Commerce, Indigenous Business Organization, or volunteering with Indigenous groups or associations?
