Employment Period is from April 17, 2023 up to September 4, 2023. Both part time and full time options avaialble. Part time schedule up to 30 hours/week. Full time schedule up to 44 hours work, and includes weekends and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Equipment operation for the purpose of maintaining golf course amenities including, greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers and ornamental .
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution as a full time student AND accepted into a full-time post-secondary institution in September 2023 or January 2024 .
  • Experience in golf course maintenance and landscaping a definite asset.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Emergency First Aid (CPR B) is required within the first 6 months of your employment.
  • Must be capable of performing physical work in an outdoor setting, including bending, lifting, walking, pushing and standing.
  • Must have green patch CSA approved safety boots, 6" - 8" to cover ankle, suede or leather.
  • Must be available to work weekends, shift work and overtime.
  • Must be available to work Labour Day weekend.
  • Normal hours of work;
    • Part time Schedule (may vary)
      • Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
      • Alternating weekends including Holidays 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
      • Up to 30 hours/week
    • Full time Schedule (may vary)
      • Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
      • Alternating weekends including Holidays 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
      • Up to 44 hours/week
  • Successful aapplicants will be required to attend various training sessions throughout the spring.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Working outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
  • Exposure to vibration, unpleasant smells, fumes, dust, and flying particles
  • Exposure to grass, weeds, and other potential outdoor allergens and various insects
  • Requires bending, lifting heavy equipment and objects (up to 55 lbs), climbing, walking, pushing, sitting, standing and repetitive motion
