LearnCorp International (LCI) is a dynamic organization that works collaboratively with its clients to determine the best solution for their training needs. Over the past 20 years, LCI has developed and delivered innovative training programs for specialist technicians in the oil and gas industry. They are leaders in curriculum development and delivery, consulting services, gap assessments and training solutions that combine the principles of safety, technical accuracy and a team-based approach to operations. LCI delivers effective and advanced learning programs that engage and mentor individuals – giving them a competitive advantage in the industry. LCI recognizes the value in partnerships and looks for opportunities to optimize the development and delivery of services to their clients.

Whether the learners are new to the industry or experienced hires from other facilities, LCI creates a training solution that provides the required technical foundation. Each program integrates safety into the curriculum and develops a safety culture throughout the training program.

LCI draws on resources from Cape Breton University as well as a network of leading industry and education consultants. LCI utilizes specialty labs at Cape Breton University and has the most extensive energy industry simulation models in the world. LCI’s assets include industry expertise and experience, the latest equipment and facilities, and a fully developed curriculum. The success of the programs is determined not only by the effective use of their resources but also by LCI staff working to bring the best to their clients.

As part of their succession planning strategy, LearnCorp is seeking a Vice President (VP) to join the executive team, learn the business and, building on the success they have found in the Oil & Gas industry, evolve into the CEO role within 8-10 months. Known as a highly credible partner, the VP will be joining a dedicated team recognized for having a lasting impact on the organizations and people they work with. This will be an opportunity for the VP to continue to develop their professional skill set as they step into the CEO role and work with dynamic teams all around the world.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the VP will work collaboratively in support of the President and CEO.  As LCI is a dynamic group of individuals involved in the development, coordination and delivery of training products, the VP will be responsible for the overall development and delivery of programs related to training for the energy sector.

The VP will demonstrate safe practices, positive energy, confidentiality, and reliability in all aspects of the position. This will include functions associated with management activities, compliance, contractual issues, planning, logistics, coordination, and administrative activities. The VP will support national and international projects and liaise with private sector clients (current and prospective) and government representatives.
