As part of their succession planning strategy, LearnCorp is seeking a Vice President (VP) to join the executive team, learn the business and, building on the success they have found in the Oil & Gas industry, evolve into the CEO role within 8-10 months. Known as a highly credible partner, the VP will be joining a dedicated team recognized for having a lasting impact on the organizations and people they work with. This will be an opportunity for the VP to continue to develop their professional skill set as they step into the CEO role and work with dynamic teams all around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the VP will work collaboratively in support of the President and CEO. As LCI is a dynamic group of individuals involved in the development, coordination and delivery of training products, the VP will be responsible for the overall development and delivery of programs related to training for the energy sector.
The VP will demonstrate safe practices, positive energy, confidentiality, and reliability in all aspects of the position. This will include functions associated with management activities, compliance, contractual issues, planning, logistics, coordination, and administrative activities. The VP will support national and international projects and liaise with private sector clients (current and prospective) and government representatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
As the ideal candidate, you are a dynamic and accomplished engineering professional with proven experience and understanding of the broad range of functions within an industrial operations environment. Ideally, you have had direct experience leading a team and are known for your ability to develop strong working relationships with staff. You are adaptable with a reputation for fostering a work environment that is characterized by collaboration, inclusivity, and productivity at all levels. You have the strategic aptitude and the high degree of business judgment needed to align organizational efforts to efficiently turn goals into results. You couple this with a financial acumen, including experience managing a budget, and are able to accurately assess risk.
Empathetic and authentic in your leadership style, you are a highly effective communicator and an innovative thinker who can motivate and inspire your team to work towards a common vision. Your strong communication skills enable you to build trusted relationships with clients and allow you to quickly be seen as a credible partner. You are attentive and approach your work with the highest degree of integrity, effectively creating an environment where your team and organizational partners feel supported, trusted and engaged.
