Job Summary
Responsible to assist Parks and Culture Planning or Park Development teams with day-to-day duties. This position is intended to give third or fourth year Landscape Architectural students practical site and office experience that will assist in both career development and obtaining post-graduation employment in the field of Landscape Architecture.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Project administration assistance such as assistance with public consultations, research and technical standards review, agendas and minutes.
- Other duties assigned may include: site inventory, field work and site inspections.
- Preparation of contract related correspondence, park permit reviews and administration. Preparation of presentations
- The preparation of detailed design and construction drawings, tender packages, contract administration documentation, and cost estimate preparations.,.
- Special requests and additional office and site duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled at University in a recognized Landscape Architectural program.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal & graphic communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and the use of MicroStation or AutoCAD, 3D drawing platforms and rendering software applications.
- Must possess a Class “G2” driver’s license; vehicle access is preferred (mileage is paid for by the City). Student will be required to carry the appropriate car insurance that includes using their vehicle for City business.
